Previously a Coop foodstore, the site was acquired and developed for a new Matalan and Brantano 

Joint venture with Bolsover District Council including the demolition of the existing Coop store and construction of a new Foodstore and three further retail units.

Mercian acquired the former Border Brewery bottling and distribution depot which was developed as a 65,000 sq ft retail park occupied by Wickes, Staples, Powerhouse, Rosebys and BurgerKing.

Site assembly includuing the securing of a former Co-op foodstore, facilitating the development of a new 70,000 sq ft Morrison foostore and petrol filling station.

Following the acquisition and relocation of the towns livestock market, the vacated site was developed as a 50,000 foodstore and petrol filling station for Morrisons

Redevelopment of the former Burgess Agricultural Depot provided a new retail outlet for the Original Factory Shop

A former Council education facility was acquired and a mixed use development was promoted with Persimmon Homes that also procured a new Aldi foodstore.

Mercian acquired surplus employment land from a local business and secured planning consent for a Aldi foodstore and associated parking.

Acquistion and redevelopment of a former agricultural merchants depot to provide three high street retail units and a 42 unit retirment scheme.

In partnership with P&O Properties, redevelopment of the former speedway stadium which included the acquisition of 32 properties to create the Grand Junction Retail Park providing 140,000 sq.ft for national occupiers.

Former railway sidings, coal yard were acquired and redeveloped to provide a 40,000 sw ft retail park occupied by Lidl, Iceland, Argos and Store 21
